Among other things, he has accused DOL of hiding LCA applications from the american public so as to "reserve" jobs for H1-B aliens. Contacting him will do more harm than good. The best we can expect from lou is that he focusses all his anger on illegals and forgets us for the time being till SKIL gets passed.

Core is putting their time and mmoney and doing this all for everybody
Pray please tell me what the core did for people stuck in BEC's.
Even these people contributed and once the dates were made current everybody and I'm sorry to say including the core forgot about them.

Incorrect. You have to submit proof of employment. Basically a letter from employer. If you are unemployed that that will raise a red flag and you cannot renew your EAD anyways. So current and future employment letter is a must for getting EAD. Sometimes they even ask you for salary slips if they suspect your employment. In this proposed amendment the employer also has an obligation to record layoffs and inform government. That makes it very tough for EAD guys to renew their EADs. Even if you are not working for the same company that filed your EAD, USCIS record can show there were layoffs and your applications will be in trouble. Expect lot of RFE and denials. Remember AC21 denials last year?

I hear Pelosi is asking for Lameduck session next week. Also heard somewhere that in order to start Lameduck session on any monday they need to send invitation to lawmakers by mid of week earliar than that monday. Haven't read so far that they will do lameduck for sure.
Pelosi is relying on Bush to give assurance that he will sign bailout for auto makers.
Anyway.. in any case if there will be session in Nov then we should see solid news 3-4 days before it. Once we get confirmed news about Lameduck session
(1) Senior members or Admins can contact Zoe's Office and find out if she is willing to push for HR 5882. If she says no and wait for some time then we can go to media awareness route and wait for some time.
(2) If she agrees I will make a list of all members of Judiciary committee whom we can start calling.
(3) Also we can have list of member of house and senate whom we can call.
(4) Meanwhile we will start a new funding drive along with call campaign. People will be motivated to donate if they see some movement. If we ask for money right now even 1 or 5 USD no one will donate it but once they see some movement people starts giving money.
(5) IV core team can ask support from competeamerica and other group.
(6) Other members who are in media industry can make awareness in media about our case with housing crisis.

May ask you why you joined this organization if you say that only sick people are frustrated with the delay in GC. By that logic all of us are sick people! I think your comment was made in bad taste and crticizes all the hard work this organization and its members are doing.
I am sorry for it if you took my comment that way. I also realize that this organization is doing great. I only want to say be should not be sick because of just GC. you should be sick if you are not responsible for you wife and kids. you should be sick if you are not responsible for your family back in India. you should be sick if you are not responsible for your country. you could be most intellegent person in the world but if you are not responsible then you should worried. I would think its not worth going thru that nonsense of H4 to H1 especially with a desi employer.
I agree with you totally. But the sad part is, Try going the normal straight way & nobody entertains you when the companies hear the word "H4". All the work experience gathered over the years suddenly seems like crap in front of the visa status.
Its frustrating.

When was the last time DOS moved the dates based on calculations and pending applications ??
I know this gives a lot of 2003/2004 EB2 India folks a ray of hope. Hang on to it :)
Of course since there is nothing better to do, we can crunch the numbers and make predictions about when the dates move to what etc. :):) Nothing wrong with it. Gives us some fodder to munch on.
The folks in the line for a while know, how better these predictions have been in the past.
Keep your numbers coming :D
